One yearly price
Registered agent service in Kentucky: $99/year. It renews automatically each year at $99 unless you turn off auto-renewal or cancel in your online account.
State fees are shown separately from our fee. We collect them with your order and pay them to the state at cost when we file.
Not part of the plan
- A virtual mailbox or mail forwarding. Everyday business mail is charged per piece to view, legal letters beyond the 3 a year are charged per piece, junk mail is discarded and packages are refused.
- Filing your annual report. That is a separate service with its own fee plus the state's fee.
- State filing fees of any kind.
- Forming the company, or any amendment or reinstatement filing.
Our registered agent service
registered agent representation in Kentucky for a steady $99/year. Covers the address on your filings, same-day scans of state correspondence and SOP, plus deadline reminders.
- A registered agent of record in Kentucky, listed on your state filing.
- We accept service of process and official state mail on your company's behalf.
- Service of process and Secretary of State mail are scanned to your online account, with an email to you.
- Up to 3 other official (legal) letters a year are scanned at no extra charge, for example letters from the IRS.
- Annual report due-date reminders by email.
On physical mail and privacy: as your registered agent we take in service of process and official Kentucky correspondence for you, and our address can go on your public filings so your own never appears. We are not a mail-forwarding service, though. Court papers are scanned free the day they arrive, other documents run $15 each to scan, and postage is charged only when you want the paper copy forwarded.

What Kentucky requires
A registered agent is the individual or company named in your state record to receive service of process, legal documents, and official correspondence for your LLC, corporation, or nonprofit. Kentucky sets the rules in KRS 14A.4-010, and every entity registered with the Secretary of State is expected to keep a registered agent and registered office on file continuously.
The governing statute is KRS 14A.4-010, and it draws the boundaries clearly:
- Who can serve. An individual who resides in Kentucky and whose business address is identical with the registered office, or an entity (including a foreign entity) qualified to transact business in Kentucky with the same address match. Individual agents must be Kentucky residents at least 18 years old.
- The address rule. Your entity must continuously maintain a registered office in Kentucky, and the agent's business address must be identical with that registered office. It has to be a physical street address; a PO box does not qualify. The registered office may be the same as any of the entity's places of business.
- Consent. The agent must sign the document appointing them or deliver a written acceptance to the state.
- Availability. Someone needs to be reachable at the registered office during regular business hours, Monday through Friday.

Renewals, cancellation and refunds
Ready when you are. Ordering takes about five minutes.
Order HereRegistered agent service renews automatically for another year on each renewal date, unless you turn off auto-renewal or cancel in your online account, or give written notice at least 30 days before the renewal date. Renewal reminders go out about 60 days ahead.
You can cancel at any time from your online account or by contacting support. Cancelling does not by itself remove us as registered agent on the state record; a change of registered agent or resignation filing does that.
Anything already filed with the government is not refundable. Registered agent fees are not refundable once we or our partner have been appointed with the state. State fees are not refundable once paid to the state.
Frequently asked questions
Why do I need a registered agent?
The Kentucky Secretary of State requires a registered agent so there's a reliable point of contact for legal notices, compliance reminders, and tax documents. If your business is sued or the state needs to reach you, they send documents to your registered agent. Without one, your entity may be administratively dissolved or fall out of good standing.
How much does it cost to switch my registered agent to you?
$10 today: our fee for the filing is $0 and Kentucky charges $10 to file the change. Registered agent service is $99/year.
What documents will I receive through my registered agent?
You'll receive service of process, state compliance notices, tax correspondence, annual report reminders, and official mail from the Kentucky Secretary of State. We scan each document the same day it arrives and upload it to your secure portal with an email notification.
Who can serve as a registered agent in Kentucky?
Individuals must be 18 or older and Kentucky residents. Business entities must be registered in Kentucky. Unlike some states, Kentucky does not allow a business to serve as its own registered agent. You'll need to designate an individual or a separate registered entity.
Does the plan include mail forwarding?
No. We are not a virtual mailbox or mail forwarding service. Everyday business mail is charged per piece to view, legal letters beyond the 3 a year are charged per piece, junk mail is discarded and packages are refused. Service of process and state mail are scanned to your online account at no extra charge.
